tues 17 Oct 1940

I went to see the strange people and that time
I took food. I savoured my lunch and the dinner
off my own plate to give to them. when I arrived
back home mum said I was getting skinnier all the
time. I had no idea who the people in the uniforms
were. when I left for school that day I hadnt felt
like giving food but I had made a promise.

Sat 14th oct 1940

you'll never guess what i saw today!
i saw a little boy about my age try
to escape from a lorry and he ran
strait into the fat mayor thenhe got
shoved back into a lorry with some
other people like him. i wondered
where they were going? i followed
lorry. running as fast as i could
into the forest and around all of
the shortcuts until i finally came
to an electric fence seperating me
from some other people on the other
side of the fence. they were all
wearing striped pyjamas and asking
me for food crying sadly and asking
for food.

Thursday 12th Oct 1940

The soldiers left today there was so much noise and
I couldn't see much I could only see the top of
the tanks. When I finally pushed my way to the
front of the crowd I saw the soldiers,they looked
so smart in thier uniforms it made me feel likem a queen.
